The Deluge (Poem)

THE DELUGE

We're both too sure of silence And in stock place misery Never lost, no one will find us In our land of mystery

Alas, shown more than kindness In what we both perceive And our lands would gag and bind us If we talk of our ecstasy

And I won't let the rain touch down I will stop the deluge before it hits the ground You will find me saving this town and the world But before I'm seen, my life will be unfurled

You and I to face the darkness And fight down the hounds of hell Sail across the sorrowed waters And face demons we both can't tell

Fading light won't see the rising Of the vexed display of Gods But come day the world's in sea, lost It's up to us to save the day...

Again...will we survive one more time? I've yet to riddle the reason why Forced against this coming ocean tide Will we die one more time?

But I won't let the rain touch down I will stop the deluge before it hits the ground You will find me saving this town and the world But before I'm seen, my life will be unfurled

We're both too sure of silence And in stock place misery Never lost, no one will find us In our land of mystery ---
